URBIS’ HESTIA LIGHTS THE WAY TO ST PANCRAS INTERNATIONAL TRAIN STATION

St Pancras International Train Station is a work of British engineering brilliance. Re-opened in 2007, the £800m regeneration project has received glowing accolades.
The busy route that leads to the main East entrance was also re-landscaped (led by Townshend Landscape Architects) and re-lit. As the area is a heritage site the new luminaire needed to blend in effortlessly. Our Hestia fitted the brief perfectly, with its simple, elegant design.
We supplied the Hestia 1 & 2 luminaires with 60W and 140W CosmoPolis lamps. These provide a welcoming white light along the road. The elegant tapered black columns stand 8.5m tall to ensure that they never impact on the view of the station’s giant arching roof.

At pedestrian crossings, TfL-approved columns are used to reduce street clutter by integrating the traffic lights system and lighting equipment onto one column.
The Hestias provide aesthetic appeal and durability, mirroring St Pancras unique structure.
