Innovative LED fire exit sign leads the way in design

The Signkit FE LED illuminated fire exit sign is the latest addition to Signboxs Sign Kit range of precision, engineered components for the display of signs and media. The Signkit low voltage FE LED fire exit sign is energy efficient and durable. With a minimum life of 60,000 hrs, an automatic battery backup ensures continuous illumination in the event of power failure.

This unique illuminated emergency fire exit sign offers all the benefits of LED technology and is available in two standard sizes (480mm x 160mm or 300mm x 100mm) or can be bespoke. The sign comprises a clear acrylic panel (10mm or 8mm thick accordingly) with laser engraved and infilled graphics. Both panels feature a quality silver anodised aluminium mounting system of a slender modern design. ‘Signslot’ and ‘Signblock’ can be ceiling or wall mounted.

On our recent design for a large bank in Canary Wharf and for Ernst & Young’s headquarter building, we chose the LED fire exit sign due to its slender and practical design which also negates the requirement for an emergency light at that point.

This high quality emergency fire exit sign complies with Health & Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) regulations 1996 and comes complete with a battery back-up unit to keep the sign illuminated for over 3 hours during a power failure. The sign requires no maintenance and consumes 80% less power compared to similar T2 systems.
